    Hey all, has anyone seen that new Dune movie? Just wondering if it's worth watching and how it compares to the original. I suppose I'll get around to watching it soon. Thoughts?

    It's pretty amazing really. The soundtrack is ridic, the story is good. It's faithful to the book, and balances the crazyness with action. In otherwords the "lore" is well balanced against the story pace.... I dunno if I'm saying this right.

    In otherwords, there was the potential that the movie was a trainwreck, but it's actually good. Action, story, lore, is great. The costumes and music is great. The ship design is really cool. The tech is cool.

    I thought it was fantastic. I was afraid it would be terrible, being a life-long fan of the books. It's a difficult story to condense, and I think they did that very well.

    It's beautifully done and pleasure to watch.
