Right, Thursday. I've got this. I know what to do on Thursdays. No
need to be nervous. I've done this hundreds of times before. Check the
Epic game store, report on the free games. No problem. I can do this.

This one is a 'real time tactical stealth game'; sort of
like "Commandos" except without the shooting. Sneak about
an ancient monastery and try not to get caught. Looks
interesting, but also pretty janky. Is the former enough
to outweigh the latter? Reviews are mostly positive, so I
guess so. Anyway, it seems intriguing enough that I don't
mind it in my library, although who knows if I ever get
    around to playing it.

See? That wasn't so hard. What? I have to do this all over again in
    seven days?!?!?

Whoops. Scratch that. Apparently this game won't be available until
/NEXT/ week. That's right; Epic is skipping this week for its new
    freebies.

[I guess the logic is that last week they gave away two games
so that should last us two weeks? Not that's ever been the
case before. Epic's happily given away multiple games one week
and come back in seven days to do it again. This change is a
    first for them.]

I normally do the write-up for these games ahead of time so I can post
as close to the actual release time of the freebies as possible. Thus,
when I saw the game was still in 'coming soon' mode, I just assumed
that was because the appointed hour hadn't passed yet. I only noticed
my error when I actually went to go claim the game for myself and it
wasn't free. I don't usually bother to actually look at the release
dates because, well, Epic has trained me to just expect new games
every week. The release dates were always sort of pointless.

Not this week though. I guess the Fortnite-money is running out faster
than expected for Epic. Maybe this year is when they'll quit the
free-games thing entirely. Who knows what's going on in Epic-land.

Anyway, no free game this week. Free game next week? We'll see.

Shame. I sort of wanted this one.
