Can you believe it's been a whole week already? It seems like we just
ended the Epic Holiday Give-Away... but here we are with yet another
free game. I'm sure this week's game will be just as exciting as the
previous ones! Show us what you got, Epic!!!

    Oh. Huh.

Look, I don't want to lambaste the Bloons games. If you
like cutesy tower-defense titles, I guess this one is fine.
But it's a very casual-friendly game, and that's just not
the sort of game I'm into. Also, it's a repeat title
(Epic has offered it several times before, dating at least
as far back as 2022). So I don't even get a +1 to The Number
from claiming it. Can you forgive me for being a bit
disappointed this week by Epic's offerings?

Well, there's always next week. See you in seven days.

I think this one is also free on phone for netflix subscribers. Which is
to say: anyone who wanted to play this game likely already played it, especially as it's even a repeat on Epic.

I don't do epic launcher crap.

Any chance you could put (epic) in the title so I can just skip those
posts (or auto-filter them into oblivion.)

Bloods TD 6 sounds marginally more interesting.

well, Spalls is posting mostly Epic stuff because they are dependably
giving away free games every week.
(and yes, most of them are crap, but there were a few interesting ones
    every once in a while)

    I get that.

I grab their games but don't actually play them (although, as I've
said, that's more because the games they have that I like, I usually
own elsewhere... and the games they offer that I don't like I'm not
    playing anyway ;-)

But as a simple launcher of games, EGS isn't horrid. It doesn't hold a
candle to the functionality of the Steam client, but for launching
    games? I've seen worse.

As a storefront, though, it's absolutely terrible. The lack of
user-reviews makes it useless to me. User reviews aren't a panacea; a
lot of them are crap. But it's better than depending entirely on
    marketing text.

But mostly I avoid Epic because it's Epic. They're just not a company
I want to give any money to. But I like to pretend I am somehow
costing them money by taking all their freebies ;-)

I'll see if I can try and remember. No promises.

Although if it's a FREE GAMES post on a Thursday, that's probably a
pretty good clue that it's from Epic ;-)

Well, keeping the website that you pull the games from up and running
    costs them money.

Hmm, I thought they improved that one lately. It hasn't sucked quite as
much system resources lately as it used to.
