Forgive me if you have seen this topic in comp.mobile.android, but
nothing suggested there seems to solve my problem.
When I receive an image on Thunderbird on my mobile, I used to get the
option to download it to Gallery OR Downloads OR somewhere else.
For some stupid reason on my part I mistakenly chose Downloads and
worse still I opted accidentally to make that the default setting i.e.
ALWAYS.
Now I cannot save the image to the GALLERY, unless I manually move it
from the file manager.
I'm not familiar with Thunderbird for Android. Is it the same as K-9? I
know that TB bought K-9, or joined, or something.
In a computer, in Thunderbird settings there is one that defines where
to save files. I searched for something in K-9, found nothing.
On the other hand, for me the Gallery is an application, not a location.
And the Gallery app can find all images no matter where they are saved.
You may have to configure the app, though.
I have given up for now. Too much time wasted as most of my emails
contain attached images.
Will use Gmail app on phone and stay with Betterbird on desktop.
