  • Windows Podcast manager

    I do my podcast listening at my desktop computer.

    My current software is "Radio Downloader", and it meets my needs,
    but is no longer supported, and some downloads appear to be
    failing unexpectedly.

    I want something, ideally free, which I can set to download each
    episode of my subscribed podcasts to my NAS automatically, and
    then I can peruse the detail listing within the software and
    listen at my chosen time.

    Grover seemed an obvious option, but it doesn't appear to like
    saving to my NAS.

    I'm looking at gPodder, but I may need to do my homework to get
    it configured optimally.

    Any thoughts?

    IMO, parsing the sqlite db in RSS Guard would be a good choice. It's
    what I'm currently using to download podcasts, and its pretty easy to
    set up a python script to parse the urls out of the db, download them,
    then set the corresponding entries to read.
