• New $1 coin with the Cray-I

Seems the US mint is putting out a $1 coin honoring the Cray-I
supercomputer, it seems. Not bad (and much better than
the one of Steve Jobs sitting around somewhere).

I remember that famous programming language from IBM, called

How many bits to the coin?

    Eight, of course.

After all, a shave and a hair cut cost two bits.

    Breaking news. 8-)

The designs for both coins: Cray-1 for Wisconsin, Steve Jobs for
Californi... uh, California - were released last year. They were
reported in the tech news in October, but I believe coin collectors
    knew about them much earlier.
