I am too cautious (paranoid?) to Always Allow every Safe Address, thinking that even a popular web page/web site may get bit by Malware put on it by
a Black Hat Hacker (even for a short time) and my visiting that page would allow the Black Hat Hackers GIFT to get in my computer.

No normal person sits there and debugs website code to the level you
are describing unless they are being paid a handsome salary.
The scenario you are worried about just doesn't happen. Even if it were
to happen, you would likely find out about it on the news first. If you were to be hit with malware chances are your computer would exhibit tell-tale signs, not your bank accounts.
If you are that paranoid about browser security, then piece together a seperate dedicated system to browse the web with which has absolutely
no personal files whatsoever, no saved passwords, no access to any
network shares or devices etc.

You have been a BBS User for a long time and I would had thought that You know that I wasn't a normal person from reading messages that I post.
I use Mailwasher free and Mozilla Thunderbird for Email.
If I see an unwanted Email after I used Mailwasher to see if the Mail Server has any for me I will go to the Web Mail site and delete that messag

If it works for you, so be it. I never tell someone how to run their system, only offer advice as a hands on bench-tech for 20+ some odd years... servicing hundreds if not thousands of computers. After
awhile, you begin to see some patterns with the service-tickets and
begin to politely question the customer.
At least you do not experiment with overclocking your computer to run
some stupid game and later wonder why it randomly crashes?

I usually don't watch or listen to TV or Radio when the News is being
told about.

I don't use the computer for any bsnking, If I want to buy something I
see advertised by a Companies internet page, I will call their toll
free number to see if they will accept my personal check for the item
and then send what I ordered when the check has cleared. Works for me.
Both of those things have crossed my mind, but I haven't desired to
shell out any cash to buy new things for the c=64.
I'm a bit more knowledgeable about this here computer stuff that I was
back in 1984 when I bought a Floppy Drive instead of a Cassette Drive when I got my Commodore 64 pc.
When he went to the Parts Store he would buy enough of that component to be able to fix that faulty TV Set, AND to be able to quickly fix the next bunc of Sets that would need the same repair job.
That sounds like something You would probably do too.
My main reason for being a BBS User is to read what other Users write about problems they have, and reading what help Users with more experienced write in their replies about it.

I knew enought that I could LOAD and LIST the Program Files that were
on that Disk and while I was reading the listing for the program to
Test the 1541 I noticed it had a line with the NEW Command in it.
It was about 1961 when I went to a Movie Theater to watch a Gladiator Movie. It was the first Gladiator movie I ever paid to watch.

Ed,
I use Mailwasher free and Mozilla Thunderbird for Email.
I registered MailWasher Pro a long time ago, and used the Courier
Email program, which I also registered. But, since I'm now with GMail,
I don't use those others anymore.
If I see an unwanted Email after I used Mailwasher to see if the Mail Server has any for me I will go to the Web Mail site and delete that message,
I would just zap it with MailWasher...it did allow a "safe preview"
of the email.

I use the app on my smartphone just to check the balances. I rarely write checks anymore...most of my transactions are done electronically.

On the Multimode Digital Voice Net last week, on The QuadNet Array,
the question was on operating systems. When I mentioned that in the
past, I was running GT Power for dial-up under DOS 5.0 with DESQView
and the QEMM Memory Manager from Quarterdeck Software, you should've
heard the "wipe the dust off that one!!" comments. <G>
Both Quarterdeck, who did QEMM and DESQView...and TeleGraphix, who
did RIP Graphics, are long gone out of business.

I first got into computing with the Vic 20 and the cassette drive...
wrote a lot of BASIC programs and some assembler.

Yes I worked in a shop as part of a larger organization that had to
keep a steady supply of replacement keyboards/touchpads and power
supplies for a bunch of Dell laptops that were in use at the time. All exact models.

I use the Free versions of Antivirus, Malware Dectectors, Mailwasher.
You already know I'm a cheap LID.
Others here probably know that too.
"My thoughts" about doing that is that Mailwasher Free just tells the Webmail Server only to DELETE the Email instead of letting the Webmail Server MARK that one as SPAM and send it to the Email Accounts SPAM
BOX, so the Webmail Server CAN REMEMBER what i think it should do to
the message so Mailwasher won't even see it.

I hope You never get BIT doing that.
I also ran DOS 5.0 and used QEMM.
Years later I was at a Salvation Army Thrift Store and bought a CD that had IBM DOS 7 on it.
I didn't remove MS DOS 5.0, I figured if I entered a Command, that IBM
DOS 7 would use its version of the Command and if still wanted to use DOSSHELL or another Command that wasn't in IBM's DOS 7 that I could do that since the DOS 5.0 files still were on the pc.
