    Not necessarily. The show might be cancelled or the Earth destroyed before
    Matt Smith wants to leave or is fired. :-)

    I hope Smith sticks around several more years. It's getting annoying wasting regeneration every couple years. Sure, they'll come up with a good story plot for renewing his remaining generations, but I'd like to see that pushed back a bit.

    I'm thinking back to the Baker years in the 80's. It was kind of nice getting to know the Doctor, and thanks to the anticipation it made the eventual regeneration that much sweeter.
