• Gossiped 2.0.0

From Richard Menedetter@2:310/31 to All on Fri Jan 10 14:50:18 2020
    Hello All!

There is a new Gossiped release 2.0.0

Just installed it, and was wondering a bit.
It now comes as DEB or RPM.
I installed the deb, and it creates a /etc/gossiped/ directory.

But it does NOT default to load this config /etc/gossiped/config.yml if no parameter is given.

I was expecting that "gossiped" without parameters would default to this config
    file:
    /etc/gossiped/config.yml

Also when I enter an empty area, it says "empty area" and exits.
What if I want to write a message into an empty area ... currently not possible.

    CU, Ricsi

    Hello Richard Menedetter!

I also could not save with F2
I pressed ESC and the menu offered me save ... but F2 did not work.

It's nice to see new releases of GossipEd. The last time I tried to compile it on or for the Raspberry Pi I had no success. Would it be possible to add an 32bit ARM v7 build to the next release?

It make possible using "-c" (config option) as optional parameters.
In my option is more Linux way to use GossipEd reader.

I think dot files in the home dir root (~/) should be not encouraged anymore. But I also feel ~/.config/gossiped/gossiped.yml would be the right place for the config file.
