• Need to insert a PKT Password in PX Generated Netmail Packet

From Allen Prunty@1:2320/100 to All on Tue May 10 16:37:02 2016
    Friends,

I have a little problem here that I am desperate for some help for. I use Winserver and Platinum Express for my Fido Tosser and Bink D/P protocol to
send my e-mail out. PX will put .pkt passwords in all echomail packets but when I have to generate a netmail packet it leaves it unsecured without a .pkt password.

Is there a utility out there that can append a .pkt password to a non secured .pkt file? If someone could whip one up that works I would be greatful.

My uplink that I route my mail through is not budging in his requirement to have .pkt passwords on all netmail messages. I've been told that it's
unlikely we will see any more Platinum Express upgrades or developments.

I've tried (unsuccessfully) to get fastecho to pick up the .pkt file from a generated inbound directory and move it to a .pkt passworded file. All I can get it to do is toss it to a .msg and leave it there.

If someone has any other ideas on how I can get my netmail .pkt to route and send properly I would be very thankful for your help.

    Thanks

    Allen

there is nothing in the Maximus BBS or squish worlds that can help you with wildcat problems...

please don't spam the echos like this in the future... you can easily find one echo where this would be on topic and get helpful assistance... you don't need to dump it in 20 different echos :(

Allen, Wildcat! and PX messages belong in the WILDCAT!_SUPPORT echo, which I moderate.

The people who wrote Squish and ran it had a TON of .pkt maniulation utils... only hoping someone still was around from that group. They were once very prolific... now I can't find a copy of Squish to try to see if I can kludge around it. But it seems now I may have a solution thanks to a GOOD friend who I appreciate greatly.
