I did enjoy "enterprise" and since it happens "before" Kirk, etc. then
it is still in the same timeline. :-)
Enterprise was good for me, too. I'm sad that it's gone, but
seriously contemplating rewatching the series at some point in the
future here.

I enjoyed the later part of TNG and remember being so disappointed in
DS9 and the whole premise of the show where you have this space station where most things seems to evolve around yet another bunch of aliens visiting the space station or whatever. It very became stale and
boring.
I must admit I haven't seen Enterprise at all but I really enjoyed the episodes of Voyager that I managed to see. Maybe I should give
Enterprise a try too?
Enterprise is the one with Scott Bakula (of Quantum Leap) and takes place
in the time of post Warp travel but still well before Kirk. The Federation
of Planets doesn't exist yet and Earth is just reaching out toward the stars.

Actually, I found it to be more about the early exploration and the building of the federation, since the UFP charter is formed in the
final episode or two.

I wish it would have gone for a couple more seasons. I may just watch
it again this summer. I always thought the characters where very good
and well acted. The strugle the Vulcan's and Humans have between each other felt real . I think it is one of the most under rated Treks.
BBC America runs TNG but they run the SAME episodes over and over again and they run them out of order. You look one day and they are running season 2 then back to season 1 maybe a few from season 3 or 4 you can never tell what they are going to show. And complaints to their progrmming deparment fall on deaf ears.

Actually they introduce the transporter for people in the first
episode. :-)

Good point. They really brought out the depth of the characters as well
as the races.

In the new Trekverse they mention a transporter accident with Admiral Archer's pet beagle being why Montgomery Scott and the teddy bear was stationed on the far away outpost.
Therefore in the New Trekverse one can speculate that the "Enterprise"
is canon for that storyline.

Enterprise didn't get good until the last season and by then it was too late to save it.

They only run the episodes that have the predominantly British
cast members and guest stars in them. It is the BBC therefore
that's the ones they are focused and interested in.

I think one cool part about it is that Enterprise "still happened"
even after the reboot of the movies. :-)
Oh - and the episode where they found the Borg from the TNG movie?
That was cool!

To be honest, I find all of the alternate-time-line-time-travel-reboot stuff just a little old.
I'd rather see new ships, new crews, new ideas (I fell in love with DS9 the moment I realized it wasn't going to be a "let's all go through the wormhole and see what we find this week" kind of show).
I'd love to see another space station based series. Just so much possibility.
But I'm not a fan of reboots in general.... and the Star Trek ones in particular. (In fact, I haven't even seen the last one).

That was awesome indeed. This weekend I saw "First Contact",
then "Regeneration" and "Q Who" - A complete temporal loop. ;)
