Now the new movies are another question all together. While I like the actors playing the TOS crew, it lacks the same dynamic that all the TV
and original movies have. That and the lense flares are almost
    blinding.

Yep, it's like watching Fringe all over again expect they are spending more time in space. I enjoyed the reboot from the point of view that it was something StarTrek on the big screen (for the first time ine ages) and felt
the actors did an ok job at playing the roles. I liked Nimoy being in it.
Found it hard to see the way they adjusted things such as Kirk dies and is reborn vs Spock etc.

    Best, Paul

I think I still would have been happier if they had kept the original time line
and but still kept the younger crew.

Then again what do I know. Hollywood can't get it wrong. At least they won't admit that.

BTW sorry for not replying in a while. Been busy at work and down time I don't
want to even look at a computer. (I'm in IT).

no probs... i agreeva younger cast and a time line that makes sence would
have been better but when younthink about it it only makes sence because we have already experienced that version of events ans as such the rest of it
    just seems darn weird.

... its late as i type this via an ipad so excuse the poor written reply and like you i too struggle to find the time to get onto fido... but always enjoy it when i do ;-)

    regards, Paul

I guess part of my problem is that I've read most of the books which extend the
cannon past just the original crews (all five crews). Some of the books are just fluff but others are really interesting and explain the origins of the Borg (I just finished this series). I guess what I'm trying to say is that I like these characters and want to see them continued.

    Stephen

P.S. Sorry for the late reply. It's summer here and I'm not paying as much attention to the BBS as I should be. Hope you enjoy your winter.

Hey no probs. It's Winter (as you know) so I am more inside than out and spending a bit more time on a PC that I should. Have a big walk in the warm sunshine for me and send the Vit D my way ;-P
