We have lost one of the great ones. He'll be sorely missed by all.

I agree completely. I still haven't made the time to read _I am Spock_. I heard that this autobiographical tale of psychology is an absolutely astounding
read. He's got other ones out there that I've heard recommended, too, though can't remember the titles off the top of my head. He was a smart guy.

Yeah I feel quite sad and flat today. I guess he as part of my childhood and enjoyment of ScFi growing up. I enjoyed his cameos in Fringe years later.

Same here. My interest in SciFi was acutally sparked by Heinlen (s) and
Asimov and a couple of others, but as far as movies and tv series Spock was
    one of my favorites.

He was a very intelligent man and I'm kind of ashamed, after all of the recommendations that I've heard to read his stuff, that it's taking his death for me to put them at the top of my queue of things to read. I'll let you know
if I read them first, but with the recommendations that I've gotten I expect them to be pretty awesome, or at least exceedingly insightful. There was a reason he got the role that he did, other than his angular face. ;)

Actually, if any of you get MeTV network, they are doing a showing of a few of his more notable non-trek roles starting at 8pm Eastern Sunday (3/1/15).
Might be interesting to see him in roles other than Spock.... Tonight they
ran the Amok Time episode during the regular original Star Trek slot.

Yep, I was pondering that last night. Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston,
Nimoy, and in recent years others I either watched on telly or listened to on the radio while growing up - all dead and gone.

I just blasted WZME here for their habit of replacing METV with paid programming.

They have a habit of doing this and not time shifit the programs the
    replace with paid advertisements.

    I'm DONE with WZME!

COX in Connecticut carries MeTV through WZME, but I've take it off my
viewing list bcause they place paid advertising over network progaming
without time shifing the network programing they remove.

I never watched the paid programing and made sure that the DVRs tuners
were not on "75" so that they didn't get a hit on someone watching it.

I would not want to buy the crap they sold on there anywho!
