Sounds good Luc ... I see there is a new Beta 531b on Rarlab's site, but I'll wait to distribute that version for a little while.

i do the same , i like Stable release

What i Do not understand is : Many Archive Program seem to be limited
with the algoritm to make good Compression .

they are not Compress Very Good never less 5% for text files
and the Bin are Deceiving for Compression

Nobody find a Algoritm that permit to Compress Very....... Much

Where is new technologie Here !!!

Although I _DID_ ask their sales department about it and they said as
soon as the Windoze version was out of beta testing they would have a
Linux release of the same version number. I know that in the past they
have had verion numbers for windows and linux that match, even for the
betas. Odd that they have a Windows beta and not a Linux beta at the
same time this go round.

I'm glad you contacted them... I should have also. Maybe I will this week.. should be a crazy monday as we've go to take Sophie and Indy to our vet for their shots for rabies, etc. (our two yellow lab mix pups... though there is some discussion with the vets about how much Lab they have in them LOL)

So anyway, if I remember after Monday, I'll try to leave them a note about it as well since I would hate to see new versions Rar only be released in beta for

Windows.
