Hello. i'm new to programming and also Sysop(ing?) and would like to make an ansi game that is playable through mysticBBS software and others but im not sure where to start, I've taken some tutorial videos on python and java so i have a bit of the basics of these languages. I dont know where to go from
    here.

    One
author may speak to you more clearly than another... and just start programming... anything. I usually tell people to start with books that cover the basics, kind of like those tutorials you mention, then try to keep moving toward more involved books.

I don't know much about the programming language that Mystic offers, you'll have better luck discussing that aspect in the MYSTIC echo... Now over here, I run BBBS and its programming language uses features of C, Pascal and perl... (just enough to keep it confusing <vbg>) but with my knowledge of those languages, I was able to use BBBS' language to create some utilities, modify some ANSI games to use under BBBS, etc.

Good luck to you, and don't give up...

    Take care,
    Janis
