    Hi Martin!

    30 Sep 2017 12:50, from Martin Foster -> All:

    OpenXP 5.0.32 has been released

Downloaded and updated the 64 bit Linux binary.

Works ... as soon as I make a netcall it downloads stuff, and then I get a black screen.
    CTRL-C does nothing.
If I kill it from another terminal, and restart, it works again.
Wehn I do a netcall to fido I again get a black screen :(((

    Sorry to hear this.

I have it running on Mageia5(KDE) and Mint18.2(KDE) and I cannot reproduce the problem on either distro. Can you please tell me which distro you're running it on, thanks.

Can you see anything in ~/.openxp/debuglog.txt which may indicate what the problem might be?

Has OpenXP created an ERROR.TXT file in ~/.openxp
If it has, can you see anything in there which might be useful?

    Regards,
    Martin

    Previous version works nicely!

    Good question ... Debian 8.9.

Can you see anything in ~/.openxp/debuglog.txt which may indicate what
    the problem might be?

I polled with the old version ... all OK, polled with the new version and I get

a black screen and many of the lines above.

Has OpenXP created an ERROR.TXT file in ~/.openxp
If it has, can you see anything in there which might be useful?

That seems to be from a previous problem. (it is from 2016 ;))

But it seems the issue is in the nodelist updating (xpfidonl).

PS: Issue is on my virtual server, I think you might still have an account there.

But it seems the issue is in the nodelist updating (xpfidonl).

That's interesting because just after the previous version(5.0.31) was released, I found a major bug in the nodelist updater: if more than 5 consecutive nodediffs needed to be applied, OpenXP would crash. I passed
the bug report onto Gunter and he appeared to have fixed it, as I've had
no further problems with nodelist updating since his fix. Perhaps this
needs further investigation. Can you please post the output of the
    following commands:

    ls -l ~/.openxp/fido

    ls -l ~/.openxp/files/NODEDIFF.*

PS: Issue is on my virtual server, I think you might still have an
    account there.

I remember you once offered to set me up as a Point but I don't remember
us actually going ahead with it :)

    Martin

I deleted all files in the files dir (many TICs and nodelists and pointlists). I copied the latest nodelist and pointlist into fido.

When I started it complained about not finding the lists.
When I polled, it still shows the exact same behaviour:
