:: The Ballad of Buster Scruggs :: @netflix

I just learned about this one today.

If y'all appreciate westerns or stories of the old west, this is one NOT
to miss! It's put out by the Joel and Ethan Coen brothers. Their most acclaimed works include Miller's Crossing (1990), Barton Fink (1991),
Fargo (1996), The Big Lebowski (1998), O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000),
No Country for Old Men (2007), Burn After Reading (2008), A Serious Man
(2009), True Grit (2010), Inside Llewyn Davis (2013)

It consists of several short-story vignettes. Production values and cinematography are well done.

The dark humour and fine production values reminded me of Quentin
    Tarantino films.

Look for "ballad of buster scruggs - saloon scene" on YT:

That one "story" within the film is probably the most violent it gets.

It's not bad. I heard about it a few months ago and watched it. Enjoyed it.

I specifically decided to watch it because I heard that Tom Waits was in it. But I completely "missed" spotting him as the old prospector. It was just a cool story to watch and not be bothered that someone was acting.

The film is like a collection of twilight zone episodes: morals, lessons, creepiness, and a quick watch if you just pace yourself to one story in the collection at a time.
