    Yes, teams with loads of money will do almost anything to win. However I am
    sad the Dodgers were not able to score him. However they might get the
    former Giants ace Madison Burmbarger.

    I like him too. He could really help out. It seems like the Yanks, BoSox and Angels break the bank every year, and get to the dance, but not the crown. Middle market teams seem to do better to me.
    Bring your kids up from the farm, and after their 3 years and want the big contract, trade for more farm kids. Then do rent a player if you're in the hunt.

    It can be something to consider when offering these large contracts. Or it could be so big, what a million here or there? Texas doesn't have one, but you are sales, inventory, capital gained, state feed out the wazoo.
