• Fatal errors during some MakeNL runs

    From Rj Clay@1:120/544 to All on Thu Jan 10 21:50:24 2019
    Hi All!

    On my system I've been seeing fatal errors on MakeNL process runs but not on all of the networks I admin (only 2 of 4). One error that I'm seeing is the following:

    Fatal error: gilbc detected an invalid stdio handle

    Another one that has come up is simply: Segmention Fault

    The is using MakeNL 3.4.8 built for i386 Debian v9 (Stretch) a year ago.

    At the least, I'll be doing a rebuild of the Debian package I use on my system (ftn.rocasa.net) of the current MakeNL version, including the debug package.

    Has anyone else been seeing anything like this?

    Jame

    Nope. I've been using MakeNl 3.4.8 since late October. Still running (Xubuntu) Linux 4.4.0-141-generic #167~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Mon Dec 10 13:22:45 UTC 2018 i686 GNU/Linux, till mid-March... maybe. Then, up to X'u 18.04.1 LTS.

    Cheers,
    Paul.

    i have not but i just built 3.4.8 some weeks ago on linux and do not have it scripted yet... only manual execution...

    $ file makenl
    makenl: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, interpreter /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2, for GNU/Linux 3.2.0, BuildID[sha1]=f72955475c5d68939c7ec93764e44299dd632d4b, stripped

    my previous install was DOS and OS/2 and i never saw any problems there... those were both scripted for automatic processing when new segment files arrived...
