    This version needs minimum XP.

    If you extract the included "gedwin.exe" and upload it to Virustotal
    there is still 1/72 vendors flagged it malicious and if you look at "behaviour" it contacted 4 IP addresses.

    Yes, I confirm that. The 32-bit versions even built in the year 2018 are flagged by one ot two vendors. At the same time the 64-bit versions are not flagged.

    ps: check cygwin compiled version - it's more terrific.
