    I was hoping there was a keyword in the msged config to make it read the fidoconfig (for the areas for example), but apparently it needs its own config (which is understandable considering it's basically a stand alone editor).

    Considering that MsgED is part of husky suite, it is a bit amazing if
    it does not read husky config directly..

    I don't use MsgED, I prefer GoldED. :)

    Mostly keyboard-related things. Function keys didn't work (switching to Xterm in putty fixes that mostly). Shift+Arrow keys to select text doesn't work (work-around is using Alt-A). So with a few work-arounds, for now it's workable!
