It's not well written, but the following few sentences refer to Harry, Ron, an
Hermione "passed through the gateway together" so I would infer that the invitation is to Harry and Hermione. This isn't great literature, so many errors can be found!

I hope there are no die-hard Harry Potter fans about, or they may be concentrating some spells on you! :D

Yes, I imagine they'd do that if groups of three people were allowed.

As would I. These three people had obviously become close friends, and maybe owls didn't count to whoever was directing traffic.

Since Alexander made reference to Harry's owl, however, I asked you for information because Ron said he could "send an owl". You know a lot more than I do about such things because you've read the books whereas I've only watched the movies. But in this context it seems owls carry messages wherever they're sent, unlike homing pigeons who don't return to aspiring "world class" cities like the one we live in where there are strict rules re what critters are allowable. :-)
