My first thought was file corruption. But I tried corrupting the "SCROLL.DAT" file all sorts of ways and it just gets re-written. Maybe
try deleting or renaming the file in the \Data subdirectory if nothing
else works.
That worked. It no longer crashes. When I read the scrolls, there is some garbage at the top of the screen, but they display properly other than that. For people having a problem with reading the legion scrolls in the tavern,
try this and it should be stable!
