    Greetings, all.

    It's interesting coming back to BBSing 20 years later. When I first got involved in the hobby, I was a junior in high school. 20 years later, I'm the System Administrator for a high school, living in a new place for the first time in 39 years, and have a 1 year old daughter, my first.

    I'm looking forward to talking to other dads who've had some similar life experiences as myself.

    Reminds me a little bit of my own history. Say, you mind me
    asking how tough it was and what you had to go through to get hired on
    with a school district or school itself?

    asking how tough it was and what you had to go through to get hired on
    with a school district or school itself?

    It kinda fell into my lap. The process itself was pretty simple, I had an interview, and after hired, had to do a criminal background check. I had lived in the same place my entire life (city, not house), and when our daughter was born, we decided we wanted to live closer to my wife's
    family. Right after making that decision, the job opening showed up, and I applied. It's a small corporation, only 4 schools total, so I'm sure the process was less involved than a larger corporation.
