With a strong El Nino winter, anything is possible.

At one time, Arkansas led the nation in the number of "killer tornadoes"...that is, the number of tornadoes that killed at least one person. Not a statistic you want to lead the nation in.

No, not really... but then, you are in that area of the country where NB>tornadoes are more commonly found....

We are actually in the eastern part of Tornado Alley, but ALSO in
the western part of Dixie Alley. So, Arkansas gets a "double
dose"...and unfortunately, most of our severe weather...including tornadoes...occurs after dark and overnight. And, that's obviously
when most people are unaware (asleep), or think tornadoes only occur
in the late afternoon during March, April, and May. We've had
tornadoes every month of the year, at all hours of the day and night.
The reason I prefer the cold weather, is that while it does make the arthritis hurt more...it means no heat illness, no insects, and no tornadoes.
