Be respectful of others and they'll be respectful of you :)

The dogs and cats BOTH have attitudes. <G> The dog can be ashamed when he does something wrong...yet, the cat is as proud as can be!!

The dog notes "I'm so glad you're home...someone pooped in the hallway". <G>

The cat notes that "the human stole my poop supply"...so, he goes into the carrier/litter box, and notes "stock replenished". <G>

The dog wolfs down his food, but the cat is so dainty.

The dog will let you know when the dish is empty; but the cat can have a microscopic hole at the bottom of the bowl, and the cat is calling the SPCA, saying that "he's being starved to death".

The dog isn't too much of a fan of boxes, bags, and toilet paper rolls...
    but the cat sure is.

And, for whatever reason, the cat likes to get up at 3am to play. :P

One knows this is true if you've ever seen a meowser tearing apart a fluffy animal :(

I think the sickest thing I ever saw was our Maine Coon Cat, catch and tear apart a chipmunk. Freaky monster cat left a tiny piece of tail, that's it.. well, I came upon the scene when all that was left was that little piece of the

    tail..eew..

I saw another picture on Facebook that had an empty toilet paper

    Hi Daryl,

Hi, Janis...glad to have another echo to type at you. :)

    Yep :) :)

I think one cannot make a cat feel shame Lol

I saw an obviously doctored up picture on Facebook, where the cat is
giving the owner "the finger". <G> I wouldn't put it past the feline.

Especially those with many toes <grin>.. Speaking of polydactyl cats, wikipedia

    says:

"Normal cats have a total of 18 toes, with five toes on each front paw and four

toes on each hind paw; polydactyl cats may have as many as eight digits on their front and/or hind paws."

I guess those big feet are good for 'the kill' :) It sure helped our Maine Coon cat.. he was quite the hunter. He pretty much cleaned out all the wildlife in our yard ... :) He was a one of those polydactyl cats. Like he needed the advantage with his extra long legs, etc. :)

    [...]
There are a few cats I've noted on Facebook that have a following...
Cole and Marmalade, and Ricky Biscuits. Cole is coal black, like Ricky Biscuits, and Marmalade is kind of orange and white. Cole is rather
mellow, but Marmalade and Ricky Biscuits are a bit more rambunctious.

Heh.. I see that when I do a google search for those kitties... they are quite famous :)

Two things I've noted that cats love are boxes, and toilet paper...
and they will knock off things on the table (i.e. pill medication
bottles, etc.). One video has this white cat knocking the pill bottles
off, one by one...and you hear the owner scold him "No!! No!! No!!".
He looks at her, as if to say "Bite Me!!", then promptly knocks off
    the next bottle. <G>

    hahaha

My elderly Mom gets a kick out of those cat videos on Facebook.

    I can understand that :)

    Take care,
    Janis

People tend to forget that domesticated cats are predators. It's in their genes. No matter how much we try to get it out of them, they won't change. I've seen what cats can do, yep, lots of times.

Of course, I've seen what two pit bulls can do to a cat too. :/

haha yes, true. Like they need catnip :)

That's how I slip out of the house every day: I slide Felix some of his favorite treats (Temptations catnip) and tell him that I love him as I head

Cats just don't care; it's not in their nature to. Now if there's an empty food bowl, well, that will have a cat's full attention. :)

However, if there is a microscopic "hole" in the circle of food, where

I recall when I was young we had a large black cat that would spend time outside as well as inside. The cat had a habit of coming home with part of something that it had caught and had eaten most of. Sometimes it was a tail, or

a wing, or a head, Etc. It would eat anything it could catch. Which included but wasn't limited to any rodents, bats, squirrels, or birds .Sometimes we could only guess at what the animal had actually been.

The cats around these days have their own daily timetable. One annoying habit is that when they want to awaken they seem to think that the household should also be required rise and shine. :-)

Yes, when you have a cat that is a hunter, they bring all kinds of 'prizes' home :) Luckily, we've been spared that much of this summer.. I would guess the

birds tell each other to "fly cautiously" over this area <grin>

I know what you mean there :) Our two cats are sisters, but they hate each other. If they are in the same room, you can be sure they will hiss and snarl at each other. I am sure they each want to be "the ONLY" cat in the house :) That is what I woke up to this morning... the two of them fighting up a storm :(

Sort of like the video I saw on Facebook. It was titled "checking to
see if your girlfriend has forgiven you". You see this large cat on the
left side of the screen...then the head of another cat slowly rises
above the couch, which he has apparently been hiding behind. The large
cat, hisses, spits, and growls...and the other cat lowers himself back
    behind the couch.

I guess the answer is, as the late comedian Justin Wilson would say,
"not only NO but HELL, NO!!". <G>
