Has onyone managed to connect a VOIP number to their BBBS. In the next year or so, all landlines in Ireland are going away. So a modem will be no longer any use

I have a VOIP connected to my VM router that is set up as a modem as I use a ASUS router with far better control over security settings and wider Wi-FI despite being moved from a Hub 3 to a Hub 4 last week.

The VOIP is connected via a small box to a spare port in hub -> router.
The bex is connected to my mobile phone unit which has four mobile phones around the house.


I got fed up with paying for a land line and this way cost of calls are included for 9.94 pm (+ vat).

Box was 30 sterling one off payment.

What on earth is the reason to connect to a BBS ?

I would have done the same for a BT wired service as well which is basically what they offer any way except to charge more money for call etc.

It is the one supplied by the VOIP company and the box is by GrandStream.

It has to be configured by the company to work with their systems.

Yes I am aware of that as it has been going on for around a year or so.
