OK episode, if another in the mildly interesting but not-too-memorable recent-flashback series. A few OK meta/mythology gags. SUPER SHORT. On the plus
side, it's nice that Fox seems to be no longer allowed to put a little network bug in the bottom right during Simpsons airings, to judge from the last few weeks.
    Opening stuff
Several oddities: Barney is back to not merely burping when Bart skates out; there seems to be another odd cutting point (from Lisa's solo to Maggie at the steering wheel); the special couch gag has a credit in the TV for Disney animator Eric Goldberg that makes the whole TV sequence too long and the music very awkwardly repeats. It's a little sloppy.
    DYN:
...the "Grand Canyon Suite" is played as they start the tour (and revisited in the credits) (you may only recognize it from A Christmas Story)?
...a postcard museum actually came up on Jeopardy this week?
    Previous episode stuff
    HABF04: Skobo's
    KABF21: Billionaires' retreat
1F10,4F16: Homer's fake credit card under the name Hogwar Swanson is somewhat reminiscent of his many bad-check aliases (and Bart's Santos L. Halper credit card)
    CABF22: Night terrors
    And back to Sam Simon...
Sam Simon is still listed as EP. Now, last week, the 4/17 second airing of VABF05 (Much Apu about Something), which didn't originally have him listed, left his name off the EPs... which was unusual. Tonight, the 7:30 THIRD airing of VABF01 ('Paths of Glory), whose first two airings didn't have him listed, suddenly HAD it! I don't get this at all.

    Fland Canyon

Quimby is looking for assistants. NO DUDES.

I am getting a little old for this, but I think the couch gag was
    1. Steamboat Willie?
    2. Snow White
    3. Fantasia

When Lovejoy is talking to the church volunteers, you can see a "Batman vs. Batwoman" billboard in the background.

"Judges. If they were any good, they'd be lawyers."

The Grand Canyon is 10 hours from Springfield. By car.

During one of the commercial breaks (I watched on hulu), there was an ad for Lyft where some guy was driving his car with a Denver boot attached to the driver side front wheel. Didn't that happen to Homer in "The City Of New York vs. Homer Simpson"?

Homer has the "VIZA" card of Hagwar Swanson.

HBO, The Car Chase Channel, Channel OCHO, NetFlix, Tragedy Central, The Cheese Channel are among the tents in the millionaires camp.
NBC is there too, in a dilapidated tent.
