OK episode with enjoyable concept. A little silly on the private island near the end, but otherwise pretty decent. (Also, as it happens, I *just* saw Big Hero 6 and its associated short two days ago, and apparently none too soon!) DYN:
...like the previously aired episode (Treehouse of Horror XXVI) the special opening didn't include the name of the show?
...Homer calls the chair's price (1100) "eleventy hundred", when eleven hundred
would do, and his phrase is probably best interpreted as 11000?
...this is a rare non-Christmas episode with snow on the ground for no particular reason?
...Lenny says season 3 of anything is the best?
...the rich Texan's normal monitor apparently responds to touch (if a ricocheting bullet even activates that)?
...Moe, like Milhouse in the TOH, has an emoji?
...the private island's direction sign/activity board seems to be joined mid-pan (so we can't read the top part but it has a Laird H: surfer Laird Hamilton presumably) - possibly a shortened shot?
...not only does Homer emerge from the ocean to the fake Bond theme, dressed as
Honey Rider, but he then sings Underneath the Mango Tree?
    Previous episode stuff
8F23: Homer wants an expensive chair (and also gets one thanks to a rich benefactor)
3F24: A bit of "dog dangling"
MABF17: Carl says that a big thing (a couple of years ago, anyway) is crowdfunding, and this episode 5 years ago explored micro-loans
5F07: Angry mob retracts their act of charity, invading the Simpson house, after finding the whole thing was a bit of a scam (in the snow, no less) CABF12: A half-subtle recall to the boy band "YVAN EHT NIOJ" thing during the concert
Also: In the credits, Homer laments missing a swim-up movie theater showing of Back to the Future on the private island; it's a fine film, of course, but given the BTTF Part II's future setting of 10/21/2015, it's interesting that they didn't mention that one instead. (OK, technically, what he was looking at was a title logo, and there would be a moment in both sequels where the part number isn't shown on-screen, and furthermore, II's is the only one in the trilogy where that is on a light background. So maybe that's what they're really showing. But probably best not to overthink it.)

"Help a man get back on his feet?"
"The what what I what whatted in?" Whatever happened to "Who did what to the who now?"?
In the Silver Room we see LIndsay Naegle, the annoying Lawyer, Chalmers, the Hibberts, Largo, and is that Cookie Kwan? Stay away from the West Side!
Also Apu and his wife, Sideshow Mel, and Bumble Bee Man.
In the Gold Room we see Dreaderick Tatum and Rainier Wolfcastle.
Is Harper's dad supposed to be based on Steve Ballmer?
"I know that guy. He works at the plant with me. Homer something."

When Homer comes out of the water, he is dressed, like Ursula Andress in "Dr. No".
"Underneath the mango tree", is also from "Dr. No".
