password? The idea of user authentication is to get as much info from
the user as possible without (or before) giving the user any personally-identifying info (like an email address).
can't it just shoot off an email if the users requests a password?
that's what my pw emailer does. it's not hurting anything. it's not resetting
a pw. it doesnt have to SHOW the email address to the requester. it can just send it and disconnect.
It could. It's a script, so I suppose the sysop easily has that
option. I could make it a modopts setting, but it would default
to off (requiring the user enter their email address, confirming
their identity) - so probably not helping you with whatever password
it is you're trying to recover.
