LanScan
Program LanScan is a tool for the network administrator. It allows to scan any addresses range for any class TCP/IP networks/subnetworks.
Scanning could be done with either issuing ICMP Echo Request (PING) packets or issuing ARP requests (this approach can be used for Local Area Networks only, which computer is connected to).
As the result LanScan allows to get instant list for the all working devices of TCP/IP network which have legitimate IP addresses.

The program was written with VisualAge C/C++ 4.0 and OS/2 Developer's Toolkit 4.5.
What is new in version 2.0:
possibility to use ICMP Echo Request (PING);
possibility to switch off the discovering of hostnames;
possibility to discover NetBIOS names which belong to other domains;
possibility to use interface number instead of IP address;
corrected error, related to working with NetBIOS;
algorithm for working with ARP cache for TCP/IP 4.0 is changed;
program NewView can read file
LanScan.inf.
