Part III: Designing, Building, and Maintaining Partitions
This part describes how to design, build, and maintain partitions:
- Designing Partitioned Applications provides the information you need to decide when, or if, to use partitions, how to determine which data to partition, choosing the correct type of partition, security issues related to partitions, and scenarios of partition use.
- Building and Maintaining Partitions describes how to create and manage application partitions, including how to synchronize the outlines of two or more partitioned databases and how to update data in a replicated partition.
