Creating a Configuration File for the Client


You can use an essbase.cfg file on the client to override Essbase default network settings.

To create a client essbase.cfg file:

  1. Create the file in ASCII format with any text editor, such as Windows Notepad.
  2. Enter each setting on a separate line in the file. You do not need to end each line with a semicolon.
  3. Name the file essbase.cfg.
  4. Save the file in the ARBORPATH\bin directory, and include one setting on each line.

For example:

NETRETRYCOUNT 100
NETDELAY 300
