    Jon,

So what's going in the world today? Things here seem okay, but what
about everywhere else... I tend to fit in my own bubble. =)

To put it bluntly, it's going to Hell In A Handbasket. :P

Hawaii is getting hellacious flooding at the lower elevations, but
blizzards with heavy snow and 100 mph wind gusts on the volcanic
    summits.

A squall line of severe thunderstorms plowed through Arkansas during
the overnight hours Sunday into Monday. There was a Doppler Radar
indicated tornado near Sheridan, a bit south of Little Rock, around
4:30am Monday morning. We have another shot at severe weather from
late Thursday into Saturday. I'm hoping it won't be an extended tornado
    season.

I sometimes feel like I'm in my own bubble too.

One thing I've been doing lately is maintaining my BBS and my Synchronet doors/tools.

Recently I bought Lego's new (2022) Back To The Future Delorean set and put it together:

Recently I also bought a Raspberry Pi 4. I heard about an open-source music synthesizer called Zynthian, which runs on the Raspberry Pi. It includes the software (running on Linux), and they also sell hardware kits for the Raspberry Pi that includes a case, LCD screen, switches, and necessary hardware for a little synthesizer module:

I bought one of those and put it together. It only took a copule hours to put together, and the software was really easy to install (just downloading an ISO and writing it to a micro SD card). It's a fun little unit.

Yeah, RPi is great, mine is 3 and will be getting a new case for it. I'm thinking of getting a small LCD screen for it and made a little keyboard. For the most part, I've used it to run a TeamSpeak 3 server. Right now... when a person dials into my modem (dial-up) it connects to say speeds of 38400 then using SEXPOTS, I have it connect to a distant server out there that connects to other telnet systems. Pretty cool little feature.

That's cool. I haven't installed a dialup line for my BBS, as I'm not sure if it would get much use. It would be cool though.
