SMC's newest ARCNET® Micro Channel™ Architecture board, the 16bit PS310, contains dual connectors: coax for star or bus configurations,
and twisted pair for star or daisychain configurations.

This board is a direct replacement for our ARCNETPS 110 and PS210 coax
boards. To preserve compatibility with these older products, the new
PS310 uses the same Micro Channel Architecture ID and operates with the
    same NetWare® drivers.

We've also added diagnostic LEDs and an onboard socket for an optional autoboot PROM, features not available on our older boards. And, by
combining our latest VLSI (Very LargeScale Integration) devices with
Surface Mount Technology, we've been able to reduce the board's size and increase its reliability.
