Yeah it varies between $10 and $18. Same price for Home or Pro. I bought it at $18 a couple years ago. I run it in VMs on my Macs.

And these licenses are good for 2 installs. So $5 each.

Win11 Pro came with my China-produced mini PC, but it's tempting to buy
that just in case. Though you're right they always have a good price,
just sometimes a little lower than others.

I should note that it appears one has to activate their license within
30 days, to use this offer, I missed that before.

    I don't think it's either one, although I can't say it's clear precisely
what type of license it is.

I should note that I followed up on this with Copilot, and he affirmed
my basic hunch that while this is a good offer potentially, it would
depend on what your intentions are:

“This $10 Windows 11 license isn’t retail or system builder. It’s likely a gray-market volume or MSDN key—non-transferable, must be activated
within 30 days, and not supported by Microsoft. It may activate fine,
but it’s not guaranteed to be compliant. For long-term use or peace of
mind, a proper OEM or retail license might be wiser.”

As usual, Actual Ignorance (AKA "Copilot") is full of shit. I have had mine for 2 years. It is fully supported and updated by Microsoft.

If there was ANY problem with the license key, it would not activate. Not to mention that MS Legal would send a Cease and Desist letter to Bleeping
Computer if these were stolen or otherwise not legit.

The fact is, MS is desperate to get people running Windows 11. All other Operating Systems are free (Apple, Linux, Android etc.), which makes $200 retail for Windows 11 fucking absurd.

I disagree, Copilot and I have had some great chats.

I get all of that, but people may want something that's officially
authorized, there isn't much way to guarantee that with these offers, I
trust Bleeping Computer *more* so than someone on eBay, or whatever, but
you have no real idea where the key originated and what it's authorized
for. Does this matter if you just want to activate one device?
Probably not. But it's worth mentioning that there are fully authorized licenses available.

The fact is, MS is desperate to get people running Windows 11.

    That is true.

Not really, because people who buy it that way typically obtain hardware lacking an OS, Macs cost plenty to support their included OS, as do
higher-end Android devices. As a percentage of the cost of a
self-assembled or blank-SSD machine, it's reasonable, to get the
features a retail key offers. That being said, it's hard to want to pay
that much if one can get these offers consistently for so little, and I acknowledge that, it's why I started this thread.

That probably means if you don't use it in 30 days, it will go back into the "unused" list to be sold again. So if you try to use it after 30 days it
    might not activate.

Nothing wrong with that. If you aren't going to use it in 30 days then don't buy it now. I used mine a couple days after I received it. No problems.

Clearly their "dumping" of their latest OS is partially due to the
Linux alternative. I've never seen more Linux advocacy than I have
    recently, on Youtube, etc.

    True.

I love some of the suggestions for other videos that appear on that page:
an amazing number of Facebook guides, plus one for LinkedIn, then it kind
    of drifts off into randomness.

You could spend all day watching videos on Facebook ... come to think of
it, that might not be such a big waste of time as actually being on
    Facebook ...
