Review: Ty Gibson starts off his book with the premise that there is a God, but we misinterpret who He is and what his nature is. His conclusion is that God is a being of complete "other-centeredness", caring for us to the complete willingness to die so we could live. Throughout the book his logic is somewhat circular and Gibson would certainly agree. In fact he posits that straight-line deductive logic is too constraining and artificial to deal with the cyclical nature of the universe God created.
Gibson writing style is clear and interesting; frequently his prose drifts ever so close to becoming poetry. His sustained refrain that God is relentlessly loving and ultimately giving is uplifting and inspiring. I recommend this book to anyone who is attempting to understand the "why" of life.
