• Merging Nodelists

    Hello Avon.

Well, the viewing of archives is internal to Mystic so the
viewing should still work if you were to try that inside of
    Mystic.

It does not work 100%. The file I am trying to view is an AmigaNet
nodelist so I understand it's saved using LHA and appears to Mystic as AmyList.l55

When I opt to view it I see no file name, a file size for the
uncompressed file that looks correct, a strange date 10/00/22 and a
time stamp that also does not match the time stamp I see on the actual
file nor the timestamp of the compressed file when viewed using LHA.

So in sum it does not seem to work internally either. Perhaps it's
because it has a file extn of l55 and not .lzh ?

I have found that lha archives created on the Amiga will have a file date of 15-Aug-80 even if they where created
five minutes ago. The lha on linux dosn't have this problem.

There is also the problem that the Amiga version of lha can only handle compression level -lh5-

Looking at the Amiganet nodelist, it looks like it's been crated by linux lha, with the compression set to -lh5-
and the mixed case in the file name (AmyList).

    Hi Vorlon,

I asked the question and the following feedback came back.

On 09/12/14, Wilfred van Velzen pondered and said...

Are the nodelists created on an Amiga? Compression levels set to -lh5 ?

No it's created on linux. Compression is not explicitly set, and uses the default -lh5- compression.

To be precise: it uses 'cqi' as command and options to compress the nodelist, with:
    # lha --version
LHa for UNIX version 1.14i-ac20080804 (x86_64-suse-linux-gnu)
    configure options:

It seems there might be a windows friendly version I can try that Wilfred suggests...

On the windows side of my system I use 'lh7.exe a -K5' to compress
package bundles from my tosser, for some of my Amiga downlinks. That
    seems to work.

So I might give that a bash and see how that goes.

    Cheers, A.
