    How? Well, you look at all the pros and cons, compare it to previous
    episodes, weigh up how entertaining it was, whether it all made sense and
    if the questions raised were answered (remembering that some things may
    not make full sense or be answered until later episodes), check how it all
    fits with what has come in all the episodes and seasons before it, take
    account of the acting was, whether or not the music and sound effects
    fitted with what was happening, etc. ... then just make up any random
    number between 0 and 10. ;-)

    I forgot to add:
    If the show (or product in the case of things like computer magazine
    reviews) is by one of your main advertisers, then never mention any of the flaws and always "adapt" the score so it is greater then 7. ;-)
