Yep. But he couldn't bring back the people Charlie blew up. I can see
where the folk Charlie sent to the cornfield might be recovered, but
wouldn't faceless girl be sort of, you know, dead?
No, she was seen later on in the episode. So he did allow her to live.

Faceless Girl? Was seen after the scene where he defaces her? I don't
think so but i'd be happy to hear a cite.

Okay, downloaded the ep and edited out the relevant parts. It's a diff
person in terms of hair and uni so you'll have to connect the dots on your own. Opinion?

One of the starships from the series gets a brief mention here. Either
the Potemkin or the Yorktown (I think it was the Potemkin) carries the
drug to the freighter. I'd be interested to know why the Huron was
named that. You remember, David Gerrold named Sherman's Planet after
his girlfriend, so I'd like to think there's a similar story here.
There's a Huron, CA and there have been a couple of ships named Huron,
but none particularly famous.
And the girl without aface just got better? aDid the turkeys turn into synthetic meatloaf in the crew's stomachs'? aHow come we didn't actuallyWe didn't see Roddenberry either, even though he was the ship's cook.
SEE Thanksgiving, given that the turkeys were in the oven?

It's a great episode, but
just once in a while, you'd like to see them show a successful but
messy ending, because in real life you can't avoid those every time.
There were a couple of TOS episodes with messy endings:
1. "Charlie X": The Thasians take him back to his life of loneliness
after telling Kirk there's no other solution

The Thasian told Kirk: "We have returned your people and your ship to
you. Everything is as it was."

It was implied or stated that everything on the Enterprise was returned to normal (it was too late for the Antares and crew.) Sam was returned (probably to the gym), Janice was returned (to the bridge for dramatic effect) and the girl got her face back.
