    Our client is seeking a Baggage System Engineer for a 6 month
    contract. This position is with a major international firm, and is
    in their Infrastructure and Cities - Mobility - Infrastructure
    Logistics business unit.

    They are looking for experienced automation and controls engineers
    with background in Airport Baggage Handling Systems. The ideal
    candidate will have excellent academic background and minimum of 3
    years of experience in design, development and commissioning of
    baggage handling systems. The successful candidates will work with
    experienced engineers as a part of project team and participate in
    various stages of the project.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Participate in design, development, testing and commissioning of
    automated Baggage Handling systems.

    Typical activities include:
    - Electrical Schematics & Panel Design (Controls Panel Design, Power Distribution Panel Design) using AutoCAD electrical, Eplan 8.
    - Network design using Profinet, Profibus, ASi bus, ControlNet,
    DeviceNet, EthernetIP.
    - PLC architecture design.
    - PLC programming with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix or Siemens Simatic
    S7.
    - Function block programming, Ladder logic programming. STL
    programming.
    - Knowledge of programming and controlling the following:
    o Check-in Counters
    o Tracked and non-tracked conveyors
    o High speed divertors
    o Queue conveyor
    o Interface with security machines
    o Veritisorter
    o Merge
    o Interface with Scanner Arrays
    o Claim devices
    o Manual Encode Stations
    o ETD room operations
    o Interfacing with Firedoors
    - Writing Project Documentation (e.g. Description of Operations, Test
    Plans)
    - Field commissioning and startup of Baggage Handling and Cargo &
    Parcel Systems.
    - Providing customer support.


    REQUIREMENTS:

    - Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Electrical / Controls /
    Automation / Robotics / Instrumentation Engineering / Technology .
    - PLC architecture design experience (3+ yrs)
    - PLC programming with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix or Siemens Simatic
    S7 (3+ yrs)
    - Fluent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point,
    Visio, Access) and Windows operating systems.
    - Strong command of English Language both written and verbal a must.
    - Willingness to travel approximately 60 % of the time.
    - US Citizen or US resident or legally authorized to work in US.
    - Will have to under security screening by Transport Security
    Administration to work at Airport.
