• Disk Space Error

From Robert Wolfe@1:116/18 to All on Sat Jul 1 12:45:00 2017
Hi all! Trying to install RA 2.62 and when I go to start it up, I
    get the following:

Insufficient disk space (less that 64k) to proceed!

This is on a 750GB hard drive so this should not be an issue. I am
running under ArcaOS 5 (aka OS/2 Warp 4.52) if that means anything.

you must load the 2gig tool that intercepts all space calls and if they are greater than 2Gig they are reported less than 2Gig...

Ok, that's what I was afraid I would have to do. Thanks for
reconfirming that. I believe the tool is called 2GBFIX.

Do we know if this is fixed in later versions and if so, what is the
latest version of RA for DOS?

yup! i just load it in all DOS prompts... that and sometimes the old TAME time slice releaser if a program isn't OS/2 or DESQview aware... i think i even have
a fix that simulates DV so that DV aware program will slice and this tool converts those to OS/2 slices...

ummm... 16bit programs simply cannot count higher than 2Gig with a signed longint integer... this problem won't go away until RA is released as a 32bit or 64bit program and at this point in time, with the major lack of comms with bruce, i highly doubt that that will ever happen :( :( :(
