    Hello everybody!

I had to delete every single peice of software and document but I managed
to free up enough space for the update that was released early this morning.

It's still downloading... I'll let you know if raptor fails or runs if it ever finishes. ;)

I understand i'm sorry for that you can not update.

Indeed the Q5 is a old device, i buy every new BB that comes out. But i also understand that not every one can do this.

I hope you will find a device that you will like ;)

that's the problem with the world today, a 1 year old device is old and no good. it's a joke.

I hope you will find a device that you will like ;)

After many attempts both with WiFi and blackberry link and a number of factory

resets the stupid thing updated last night.

i'm really not impressed with the way Blackberry did this update.

anyway, this is written with the new version of raptor. (staying on topic)

Yes and it matters not which manufacturer you like.

I had two updates in a row for some reason on my Z30

I thought your provider did the update <G>. They always add stuff or remove stuff, instead of leaving things alone.

    Hi Shawn;

that's the problem with the world today, a 1 year old device is old and no good. it's a joke.

I understand that, but in my case i need to do this, but i have a special
deal with them i by them a lot cheaper of the normoly price...

i'm really not impressed with the way Blackberry did this update.

I can not tell how a update is going via a provider, i my case i just update directly from BlackBerry himself and dont had any problem with it..

anyway, this is written with the new version of raptor. (staying on topic)

Ok good to hear, test it for a few weeks and keep me up to date, becoss i'm
now making some big changes on the new up comming version, but it need to see if this will work out on the device memory in the way it wont crash becoss it takes more and more memmory when i add things in it.... I'm try to make a nodelist look up when you write a netmail but i need to change the code
becoss it takes to many memmory from the system... so it will take me some
time to have this going on to good way. When everything is working out
Raptor will have it's own nodelist compiler build in and when you type a netmail it will lookup for the name or node number/point...

I've gone back to the Q5 and after really researching the settings I almost have it working. For some reason email wouldn't show up on the phone until after I removed the accounts and set them up from scratch.

When I turned off the "Show wallpaper when no apps running" option notifications are better, still not as good as 10.2 but enough that I can see the icons flashing now anyway.

Still not impressed with the update procedure. want a passport but don't want to spend the money! hahahaha.

honestly with the change in the OS i'm not sure I know what the difference was. it looks the same to me with the exception being it's easier to delete parts of the message quoted.

so the circle pops up allowing me to highlight text right away, is that your change or was that the new os? :)

Yes a PassPort is a nice device the only thing i dont like is it's a big
phone to cary with you. I have it here also but i also take my Classic when i go out.

I have ask yesterday the BlackBerry Firmware developers how it come you have that problems, the told me like Joe thinks that some providers putting there own stuff in it and that make the update bad. But BlackBerry can not do anything on this, it's the choice of the provider the told me...

was working fine, I plugged it into charge and went to bed by morning it was dead. if I put the battery in (or plug it in) the red light comes on and it sometimes gets as bar as the blackberry loading screen. other times not quite that far before it turns off again.

googled it ?, one of my cats dropped my samsung note pro 12.2" on flour, now its no screen output anymore, it was the most expensive android phone i had, now i wont have samsung anymore ever, i googled if i was alone to have this problem that screen stops working and found that its nearly any device from samsung that goes to dies of when dropped by cats :/

i will try to recovery it, but there is no hope to get it back in working order, since the back "plastic" cant be replaced, its like battery on apples, you need to get a new phone when it does not work anymore, how long will apple and samsung be so stupid of there quallity ?

on the software side chromecast could kill com.android.systemui so much i could

nearly just force power reset, sometimes it did not even boot correct when done

anyway, and it only happend if used with chromecast, not if the device was never used with chromecast

i keep the serial for security

    i have a raspberry-pi 2 now ready for windows 10 :=)

thinking about add a touch lcd to it, and then hopefully can be used as so in windows, but it could aswell just find openELEC and yatse on android, then its the best cheap smart tv ever
