Next month the will release the BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 for all devices.

After that i send out the new Updated Raptor as Beta on the BB World.

Strange thing here Rudi. I know there has been an update because you told me, but was unable to update my version. I could not figure out why, but, it looks like the system does not see Raptor as an installed app. It works, but, does not show in the list of installed apps. Perhaps because it was sideloaded?

Yes that can be it's strange so you can not see the app in your settings as a installed app ?

I dont know anymore we have use the slide option but that can be, but you should can update it i have try it before. I dont know how the support now is on that old firmware. I just buy a new clasic and install it also via the slide option and then update via the BB world without any problem.

The one I am using you sent to me I think with facebook message. I had to uninstall the version I had, in order to install this one. (If I remember correctly).

I will send a email to the BackBerry guys and ask about the support of BB world on the old fimrwares.

OK, I wait for your answer from them <G>

    Hi Shawn and Joe,

I have send out the update to BB world today for a review.

The big changed are the new reply function that i have now on the new
firmware, when you reply and one remove some lines just tab the text and hold you will see this lines wil be marked and then you can remove them.

This is mutch faster then the old way.

Shawn dont update before you will have the new firmware on your device it
will crash when you do that !!!

    Have fun with Raptor ;)

No, the new reply features is in some way taking out of the SDK of the
Firmware this give me more option on how to select text when you reply to delete. Try it Joe when you reply on a echomail tab the text you like to
delete and hold it till it is marked then hit the delete key. You will see it will give you a faster way to remove text on a reply.

I hope you understand what i mean?

Normoly you should also select not the full text or all the text, just play with it you need to learn in some way how this is working. When i started with it i also had the same problem, but ones you know how to select you will see you can select also text that you only like to select.

Will have to play with it some more I guess

Don start tab in the middle of a text start tab on the first char from the line on that way you will see how it works ;)

I dont have test this on a Z30 i dont have it anymore ... But i'm wait for my new device of BB than i can see how it is running on a bigger screen then the classic or passport...

They've put the update for the Q5 on hold again. No date given. To be honest I'm not too worried about it, the phone works now and will continue
to do so, and I'm used to Blackberry not providing updates to the devices
    I choose. ;)

Andrea's phone is starting to get wonky (old bold) so I might pick up a classic and give her the Q5.

They've put the update for the Q5 on hold again. No date given. To be honest I'm not too worried about it, the phone works now and will continue to do so, and I'm used to Blackberry not providing updates to the devices I choose. ;)

Wonder who is holding it up? Your plan, or BB?

Andrea's phone is starting to get wonky (old bold) so I might pick up a classic and give her the Q5.

One way to get around it maybe <G>

A classic is a verry nice device i use it here also ;)

Here we get the updates directly from BlackBerry not from my provider the
    dont do that here.

My Z30 got updated twice. within the week. Not sure about the Z10. That is my wife's phone, but I had to reboot it one morning, to make it work properly. This was after the update (the first one)

I think it's something about the lack of memory or space on the Q5.

With the playbook it was announced that all research and development would be stopped :( That was from the previous CEO. The new guy has not found fit to reverse that. If they would only give us an update to bring us even with the phones, at least that would be something

its more then my mailserver here that just have 2*128MB and 2*512MB, but its not about memory is it ?, its about what its used for, crap or not :=)

Perhaps, but is that all the Hardrive space? You know of course that the memory talked about in a phone,is not only for storage (unless you use an external memory card), but also holds the OS.

ah yes, commodore 64 had just 64kb ram, but the floppy had 170kb :=)

there was no os, so no need for big virus drive backups

Of course there was an OS. It was a version of BASIC. There was no DOS, since there were no Hard Disks <G> (for us at least). Mine was a Radio Shack Colour Computor. My first PC also had a OS chip in it that had BASIC on it.
