• Bad connections tonight...

    From Janis Kracht@1:2320/100 to All on Tue Aug 8 00:22:48 2017
    I saw my internet connection fail at least 4 times in about as many minutes tonight.. it would come back up, then go right back down. Real pain in the butt <g>

    ISP says they are working on it to resolve some problems but geez... Seems steady at the moment... so I can hope it continues.

    <sigh>

    Could this be the reason I am/was having troubles during my testing to connect to you? Or is this just a one-off?

    Things have been running steady more recently. Are you talking about Mailer connects, or connects to things here like web servers, etc?

    Hi Joaquim,

    We use a file called filegate.zxx rather than the old filebone.na to list file echos these days <grin>

    Do you want me to add your FrontDoor Mailer to the list of file echos?

    I need a tag name for the file echo, and you can let me know if you want to drop off the new versions here for distribution. If you are going to release various versions for different OS's, we can add as many file echos as you like.

    Take care,
    Janis

    FWIW: it was in the old SDS areas as SDSFD, IIRC... i still have that in my configs but it is not linked to any upstream distributor... i have it mainly to

    maintain the archive of what i received in years past...

    AFAIK, i do not have a RAID format entry for it, though... only my allfix, RA and FREQ processors know about it...

    Thanks for letting me know. I can't recall how it used to be with stuff from DefSol / me / Mats. But let's not make an administrative mess just yet. Once I get to needing to release something, I'll consult you first so do it the proper

    way, how's that?
