I think I've seen burn notice. If I reall, I enjoyed it.
I'll have to look it up.
I'm still trying to get through
Ozark season 3, but keep getting distracted with beautiful
weather or BBS'ing at night.. and now the news. So.. I'm
looking forward to a rainy day to catch up on a few shows.

I recently discovered a tv series originally from 2007, called Burn Notice.
It's kind of like a mix of Bourne Report, Mememto, Miami Vice, McGyver.
It's good fun.

It is a smart production. The lead char (the burned agent) although very intelligent, almost superhuman and can think wisely on the spot, is still depicted with vulnerabilities.
You've got green thumb written all over you. Like the lighted finger on the alien in E.T., you are driven to the gardens as your "home".
Me, I'm settled in a valley with farmland all around me. Would love to have some of the overgrown stuff taken care of (I spent $2500 to remove some dangerous trees a few years ago) ..but now there are no resources for any of that. So.. movies are my "forget life" option.

I remember the show now... I did enjoy it. I think there was
a hot lady in every episode too?
My current favorite shows
are:
1. Yellowstone 2. Ozark 3. Better call Sal (got the name
right this time) 4. The Walking Dead 5. Can't remember the
rest at the moment but those are the top 4 to come to mind.
simple sketch together prior to building something. I love
making back yards a retreat and until mines there....
(meaning I can mow in my boxers without my neighbors seeing
me,)
Yellowstone is in the queue, and so is Better..Sal. If the Walking Dead is the one about zombies.. I'll pass. BUT.. if you like that premise, check out the film "28 Days Later" from 2002. I didn't particularly
care for a zombie-like film, but this one deals with the problem as an animal-human gene experiment that went wrong, escaped the lab, and
started infecting humans. I thought it was interesting how they pulled
off the deserted streets and bridges in London.
The latter part is TMI! LOL
Back to films.. I would recommend the series: The Americans. It's a spy thriller set in the Reagan era. There is nothing taken lightly in this series. Adult situations and killings are depicted quite graphically. It's long running with about 6 seasons. I learned about it last year. I have yet to watch season 3.
I don't like Zombie movies either, nor does my wife -- we
both love The Walking Dead. It's more about the people and
how they survive while also trying to sustain some semblance
of law and order; the zombies are just what cause the
situation and constant stress they live within. More of a
back drop.
... having the feeling of not being
surrounded, without the expense of a lot of land, is what I
like within a back yard. And, the trees help filter some of
the road and siren noise that seems non-stop 2-3 blocks
away.

I saw that show listed, haven't tried it yet. I'll have to
do so.
Have you seen Dexter? Thats another my wife and I
really enjoyed.

Jimmy,
Tomorrow I'll look it up again, as there are a few others similar that come to mine I know you'd probably like or have seen. Honestly, I
stayed up all night watching the riots .. not intentionally .. it was
like when my wife and I rented Hostile ... not having read the synopsis ... our jaw was on the floor the entire movie. That was me last night.
Ah.. A kind of psychological approach then. But then it depends on the pace of the series. I don't like a series that drags out the mystery
for too long. For example, I could not get into LOST despite all the
hype built up around it. Later, I learned that the ending let the fans down anyway.
I heard a lot about it when it first came out. The premise intrigued me. But I did not have access to DSL/internet as I do now. My movie + tv series backlist is getting longer than I have time to spare for!
wow - I didn't know what it was about either, when I took my teen-age
sons to see it... I thought it was "just another horror movie" - boy was
I wrong!

Right? I thought my wife had rented some border line porn movie at the beginning .. we were both a bit confused as to what she picked out ..
then ... you know the rest. I'm not sure I could watch that again. Another, I'll likely spell wrong, was Requium For A Dream. That movie
was just disturbing.
