I am tempted to either take a trip to Kansas City Missouri to see the Dodgers play the
Royals or go to the NLCS game in LA this year.

It would be a fun trip, but the big issue is the city is not that public transportation friendly.
Ball park is in one far corner, downtown in the center and the airport is at the other end.

Hmm, no public transportation? I'm sure they have Uber in KC too. :) With Uber and all the 'home taxi' services, I rarely see a real taxi roaming around my city (Akron, Ohio) (4th or 5th largest city in Ohio)

Sorry it took so long to reply, I finally got echomail working again on my BBS!
    :)

Wow, that's pretty crappy! You'd think the ballpark would be placed someplace easily accessable to the masses. I figured KC was a 'major' city, how big is it
    compared to say, Cleveland??

Very nice! I would like to make it down to Texas for a game sometime.. I have also been to Wrigley, I also got to see the old Yankee Stadium and Candlestick back in the day. Besides Fenway, my favorites so far are Camdon Yards and T-Mobile Park (formerly safeco)

I'm in Ohio (NE Ohio), I'm from NY (Brooklyn) I'm a Indians fan first, Yankees,
then Mets! I've been to 3 different stadiums (5 if you count minor league teams!)

It's going to be interesting to see how many games they are going to actually play this year, and how the playoffs are going to be. Looks like it's going to head into the fall. Some fields might be covered in snow!

Its funny when you live somewhere your not from that team spirit kicks in for the new team.. I dont know if you have been watching but Portland is very close to getting a MLB team (I live in Portland now) So when we get a team I will be their fan on game day, well until the RedSox come to play then Ill sit on the third base side...<VBG>

I just read that the plan is start the season in July and each team will play only 86 games, they increased roster size and playoffs they are going to double the wildcard teams.

Cool! a team in Portland would be nice. I think they would have a pretty good fanbase.

I agree! like when the Indians play the Yankees, I'm so torn who I want to win! I usually go for the underdog, which is almost always Cleveland! :)

Yeah, imagine how that would be played out when it starts snowing! Cleveland is a GOOD case, it's right on Lake Erie and Cleveland gets lake effect snow before the rest of the state. someone could slide to the batter's box! lol!

It's going to be pretty interesting. I'm glad they're not doing the double hitters. I saw one option was to have several 2 a days played. that would tear up the players bodies quick.
