• Practicing brushes on v-drums

From William Chaney Iv@1:2320/100 to All on Mon Nov 30 17:42:02 2015
So I know nothing can replace acoustic drums, especially for jazz but in an apartment my only option to practice is a mid range Yamaha e-kit. I wanted to audition at the University of North Florida's flagship jazz program under the great Danny Gottlieb. My main concern would be practicing using brushes. Is this possible? Is it possible to at all prepare for an audition on an e-kit? --- SBBSecho 2.30-Win32

Have you done research on this very issue? I understand though. A lot
of the great Vince Gualraldi's tunes ("Linus and Lucy" to name one)
would not sound the same without the use of brushes. Note the same song played with the oboe as the primary instrument (which I believe is what
Dave Koz uses in his rendition of the same tune) sounds just as
    awesome.

... No way I'm going to use an offline reader! Well, okay.
