I see Parler is down again... this time they claim it's due to feature enhancements however it's been over 2 days now. Has anyone heard otherwise? Did they lose their host provider again? <G>

Seems to be ok today.

Yes it does seem to be up, but it's not accepting logins or
new users prorperly so it seems. Not that big a deal, a BBS
is more fun and more pleasant to use anyway :)

And an offline reader or a point system such as OpenXP, and the
whole conversion business is much nicer than any social-media
platform.

Back in the ol' DOS days I used Blue Wave but I'm finding
MultiMail to be just as decent for what I want it for. QWK
packets I find are the way to go for threaded
conversations.

You could set up OpenXP as a point off your own system. The reading/editing/search experience is much better than managing
individual QWK packets.
I built a lil' site for it including screenshots:

How does it handle ANSI posts?
Hi y'all, i was wondering if anyone knew how to set up the default bash shell in Ubuntu, to be able to see ANSI art / menus for when you use syncterm at the command line, or if your using simple telnet?
i was just curios if anyone had been successful at it?

Ahh you're using Windows. I'm on linux. MultiMail works
just fine for me here on Linux. My paths are set just fine
and it's quite speedy :) If I was on windows I'd give it a
shot.
OpenXP is available for Linux too! You didn't notice the side
panel where it says:

I saw that after I posted yes. It took me 6 months to get
back where I am now, I don't think I wish to risk changing
at this point especially where MultiMail has me exactly
where I wish to be :)
