Luc Tardif was re-elected as President of the French Ice Hockey Federation (FFHG) for a fourth and last term.

Tardif is the founding president of the organization when ice hockey split from
the ice sports federation in 2006. He is also a member of the IIHF Council and its Treasurer.

The 63 clubs elected the 21-member executive committee with Tardif as its President during the weekend's general assembly in Cergy-Pontoise, a town north
of Paris where the FFHG is headquartered and runs the new national ice hockey centre.

Before the assembly the 11th class of the French Hockey Hall of Fame was honoured: long-time national team players Baptiste Amar, Cristobal Huet, Fabrice Lhenry and Laurent Meunier who retired recently, long-time national team coach Dave Henderson and the Le Blond family.

The assembly also honoured the French women's national team that for the first time earned promotion to the top level by winning the Division I Group A on home ice in Vaujany.

There was also a symbolic hand-over of office as Henderson announced his retirement in spring and former French national team and NHL player Philippe Bozon takes over as national team coach.

For the future the FFHG hopes to continue the increase of players and ice rink and qualify for the 2022 Olympic Winter Games. After the new rink recently opened in Nimes, new ones are being constructed in Angers, Louviers and Dunkirk.
