The IIHF Disciplinary Board has lifted the provisional suspensions on Ukrainian
ice hockey players Volodymyr Voryvoda and Eduard Zakharchenko, citing a lack of
sufficient evidence.
However, the Board stressed in its Decision that it was merely lifting the provisional suspension and not rendering a final decision on the merits of the Case, thereby allowing the Disciplinary Board to reopen the Case at any time if
further evidence is uncovered.
The IIHF acknowledges the Decision of the Disciplinary Board in this matter, and would like to add that this Decision in no way detracts from the important fight against match fixing or from the fact that all players, coaches and officials who are found to have committed an integrity violation, will be held accountable according to the IIHF Code of Conduct.ÿ ÿ
